Randy Paul is a second-generation professional horseman. He grew up showing and started training for the public in his 20's. His career started among some of the greats -Don Dodge and Jim Paul, Sr. As a kid, Randy began building bits, "just because my Dad did it". In the 1990's, Randy committed to building bits for professional horsemen. He marked them "RJP".
Randy dedicates every day to the improvement of his craft. He calls it "playing in the shop".
He works to design and build a range of bits, from working snaffles to custom bridle bits.
After Randy builds a new bit, he takes it to the barn and tries it out on a horse. He is meticulous about how it feels to the horse and how it feels in his hands.
This process qualified Randy's reputation for hand-made bits that both horsemen and their horses appreciate.
RJP wants to offer his bits to anyone who can benefit from them. Randy is very proud to see bits play a small role in the success of his fellow competitors.
